1Definitions

  • Platform: the Q Clinic online clinic-management system and its apps.
  • Provider: Q Tech Solutions, 6th of October City, Giza Governorate, Egypt.
  • Subscriber: the doctor who owns the clinic account and holds the subscription.
  • Users: the subscriber and the clinic staff for whom the subscriber creates accounts.
  • Patient: anyone whose data the clinic records on the platform.

2Relation to the subscription contract

These terms complete the signed subscription contract between the subscriber and the provider. Where a term here conflicts with the contract, the contract prevails.

3The service

The platform lets the clinic manage appointments, keep patient files and examinations, write, print and send prescriptions, record collections and expenses, and see reports and notifications, according to the package subscribed to. We may develop, add to or change the platform, without reducing the substance of the service subscribed to.

4Accounts and security

  • Every user must keep their password secret and must not share their account.
  • The subscriber is responsible for staff accounts, the permissions given to them, and closing the account of anyone who leaves.
  • The subscriber must tell us at once if unauthorised access to the account is suspected.

5Medical responsibility

The platform is a tool to organise and document work; it gives no medical advice or opinion. Diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions and all medical content recorded are the sole responsibility of the doctor. The doctor must review a prescription and its details before printing it or sending it to the patient.

6Patient data

  • The subscriber is responsible for the accuracy of the data recorded, and for informing patients that their data is recorded and obtaining their consent as the law requires.
  • Prescriptions and booking messages are sent on WhatsApp only to the patient’s own number or to the patient’s representative.
  • The provider handles the data according to the Privacy Policy.

7Subscription and fees

The package, fees, payment dates and renewal are set in the subscription contract. All fees collected are non-refundable, including when the subscription ends, the account is suspended, or the platform is not used. If the subscription is not renewed on time, the account becomes read-only for seven days, is then suspended for another seven days, and after that all its data may be deleted, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

8Acceptable use

The platform must not be used for:

  • any activity that breaks the law or the ethics of the medical profession;
  • sending advertising or unwanted messages to patients;
  • trying to reach another clinic’s data, disrupting the platform, or testing it for weaknesses without written permission;
  • copying, reselling or renting out the platform.

9Availability and maintenance

We take reasonable care to keep the platform available around the clock, and we keep a daily backup of the data. The platform may stop for a while for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control, such as internet outages or hosting-provider faults; we work to restore it as soon as possible.

10Intellectual property

The platform, its design, code and brand belong to Q Tech Solutions. The clinic’s and patients’ data belong to the subscriber. The subscription transfers ownership of neither to the other party.

11Limitation of liability

The provider is not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or interrupted work, for the results of medical decisions, or for users’ misuse of their accounts. In all cases the provider’s liability does not exceed the fees the subscriber paid in the twelve months before the cause of the claim.

12Ending the subscription

The provider may suspend an account after notice if the subscriber seriously breaches these terms. The subscriber can export its data before it is deleted, according to the Privacy Policy.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The courts of Giza Governorate have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, after an attempt to settle it amicably.

14Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in any important way, we notify the subscriber inside the platform and ask for acceptance of the new version before use continues. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
